Important Small Group and Grade 8 Choreography Try out Information
Both Small Group & 8th Grade Choreographer Try outs are on:
Wednesday, February 19 from 3-4:15 in S129
8th Grade Choreographer Audition Information:
Want to choreograph a dance as an 8th grader? You may try out groups of 1-3 people.
Come with one minute of choreography ready to show the judging panel.
You must have one day of the week (Monday- Thursday) available from March -May for dance club rehearsals.
Theme: Please choose a clean song related to one of the following:
1. When I grow up I want to be a Rockstar
2. When I grow up I want to be a Movie star
(Please do not use the Pussy Cat Dolls song, it is already reserved)
Also, please sign up prior to auditions on the dance board outside of S129
Small Group Auditions:
Want to choreograph your own dance for the dance show?
Want to do a solo? Want to do a duet? Want to do a small group?
You may try out in groups of 1-6 people.
Come with one minute of choreography ready to show the judging panel.
Theme: Please choose a clean song related to:
When I grow up I want to be a Superhero!
(But please no Batman, as we used it in our last show).
Be creative and we will see you at auditions!

Dance Captain Auditions ~ Semester 2
If you would like to be a dance captain...
Dance Captain Responsibilities: In order to be a dance captain you must be willing to volunteer 1 day a week to help out at dance club as needed. You will be responsible for helping with daily attendance and tasks, choreographer thank you cards, t-shirts, program, website and updates and also the PowerPoint slide show. You must also be able to come early and leave late to Saturday and Tech practice and Tech week, as you will be needed to help set up. You will be responsible to read the dance board and check the MSDC blog daily so you may help others with dance announcements.

30 seconds of your own choreography.
