Rehearsals Start This Week

Get ready to groove...

• Check the blog to see which days you signed up for on the wish list (if it's different than what you thought you signed up for - there is a reason and come see me)
• On the day/s you are dance (for this week only) please meet in the Theatre Studio from 3:15-3:30 to meet your choreographers/hs officers/supervisors and go over expectations - then you will head to your rehearsal studio
• Please dress in dance-wear or athletic-wear for rehearsal and pull hair back (you may use the MS PE locker rooms to change)
• Make sure you bookmark the blog- https://sasmsdanceclub.blogspot.com/
• You should have complete the Parent Student Contract and we will talk about payment in the Theatre Studio
• Check the blog/dance bulletin board daily for updates

We can still take more dancers, so talk to your friends and see if they forgot to sign up or want to dance!

Dance Club Information and Important Dates

Dance Club Semester 1

Dance Club aims to help dancers improve their technical skills, develop relationships, and enhance performance skills. This semester’s show, ‘Color’, will be minimally costumed.  The cost is SGD 60.00.

Grade 6 dancers may dance in 1-2 dances

Grade 7 dancers may dance in 1-3 dances

Grade 8 dancers may dance in 1-4 dances

*Depending on availability and dancer’s schedule

Rehearsals

• Mandatory rehearsals will run from 3:10-4:20 PM on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays, Fridays in S129
• Dancers choose the day/s of the week they dance
• No audition necessary

Rehearsals Start:  Week of September 23rd

Mandatory Tech and Performance Rehearsals

Saturday, November 11 - Full Show Run 10:00PM-12:00PM in the Auditorium

Monday, November 27 - Act I 3:00-6:00 PM in the Auditorium

Tuesday, November 28 - Act II 3:00-6:00 PM in the Auditorium

Wednesday, November 29 - Full Dress Rehearsal from 3:00-6:00PM in the Auditorium

If you want to challenge yourself, you may audition for:

• Small Group (student choreographed piece)
• Dance Captain (leadership role)
• Advanced Technique Dance Audition (for technically trained dancers)
