2 grade 6 dancers
2 grade 7 dancers
2 grade 8 dancers
1-2 guy dancers
(6,7, or 8)
Leadership Role
You will be on
duty one day a week
Requirements:
You will prepare a
30 sec dance solo
Be prepared to
answer these questions:
Why do you want to
be a dance captain?
What skills do I
have that would be of use as a dance captain?
*You will have a separate dance piece for the show
that will rehearse with Mrs. R on four occasions from 4:15-6:00 PM
Small Group Dance Audition
6,7&8

We will be creating two small group pieces for the
show.
1-Princess
(Contemporary)
2-Villian (Jazz/Hip
Hop)
*Rehearsals will be decided upon audition results (you
will work with Mrs. R AND a HS choreographer 2-4 times from 4:15-6:00)
If you want to create a Small Group or Solo Dance for
the PRINCESS piece, here are the audition requirements:
Music: Your choice, but it must fit the genre of
your dance (It will be changed for the show.)
Length: 1min to 1 min 30 sec (solo entries -1 minute)
Number of Dancers: 1-5
If you want to create a Small Group or Solo dance for
the VILLAIN piece, here are the audition requirements:
Music: Your choice, but it must fit the genre of
your dance (It will be changed for the show.)
Length: 1min to 1 min 30 sec (solo entries -1 minute)
Number of Dancers: 1-5

movement be modified to match your dancers’ ability level?

work, visuals, and formations do you plan to use?
